David Grenfell Wins State Title
David Grenfell continued his winning streak on Tuesday by winning the Queensland Mid-Amateur Championship at Club Pelican. After a 6 over 78 in the first round on Sunday, David found himself 8 behind but a solid 73 on Monday followed by a great 71 in windy conditions on Tuesday was enough to beat the defending Champion, Ex Scotland Football international Brian McAllister by 2 shots. David was also paired with Steve Thompson from Windaroo representing Qld in the Interstate Teams Event. The pair were triumphant over the other states with Victoria running second, a distant 25 strokes behind.
